Welcome to the official web site for Katelyn & Zoe Bachman.  Katelyn and Zoe suffer from a very rare condition called Crigler-Najjar Syndrome. They must sleep under special blue lights every night and get as much sunlight as possible during the day in order to survive.  Without daily light treatments the girls would suffer brain damage, muscle and nerve damage and ultimately death.
    The girls were on the National Transplant List for about a year.  We are very happy to report that they were taken off because the medicine they are using has been very effective.  Our prayer is that we can get the medicine to the right level and possibly give the girls a light-free life.

   Because of their need for light we call them our "Little Sunflowers". Although we don't understand why we must face these trials, we know that God has a bright future for our children. We rejoice in the fact that He doesn't make mistakes!!!

   Jeff is the Pastor of Martindale Baptist Church in Martindale, Texas. Tammy works part-time at Hope Christian Academy and is very blessed to spend the rest of her time as a stay at home mom.  Shannon is 10 years old, Katelyn and Caleb (the twins) are 8 years old & Zoe is two.
